Sean Dackermann

Sean Dackermann

Is a Visual and Brand Director based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

His work is best described as the investigation & celebration of the human spirit.

Since he was in elementary school, writing his first song "Soccer" with his cousin, Sean has always been tapped in to his prowess as a Creative.

In high school, while studying magazines like hip-hop's The Source, Blaze, XXL, Vibe, as well as GQ, Vogue, i-D, Complex, V, Interview and many more, Sean grew fond of photography and it's ability to show the human spirit and form. His work, then being based in Prismacolor, Conte, Graphite and Airbrush, focused on portraiture. He always started with the eyes, and would work on the piece upside down. That way he wouldn't get fatigued of looking at the work in progress, and could always see what additions were made very clearly.

His step into Photography was that out of curiosity. One, for the idea of inspiring others to recreate the work as he had done and the impact of Editorial and Commercial Photography. He would study the light, composition, copy, graphics, placement in the magazine, all seeing the processes that went into place and formulated the end result.

One day, after sharing a family camera (Pentax K1000, of course), he was offered a Nikon N6006 in exchange to help build a shed. The shed was built, and Sean's foundation was set.
