Sean Dackermann
Is a Director & Photographer based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
Since he was in elementary school, writing his first song "Soccer" with his cousin, Sean has always been tapped in to his creative prowess.
In high school, while studying magazines like Hip-Hop's The Source, Blaze, XXL, Vibe, as well as GQ, Vogue, i-D, Complex, W, V, Interview and many more, Sean grew fond of photography and its ability to show the human spirit and form. His work, then being based in Prismacolor, Conte, Graphite and Airbrush, focused on portraiture. He always started with the eyes, and would work on the piece upside down. That way he wouldn't get fatigued of looking at the work in progress, allowing for a clearer view of what needed to be further worked on.
His step into Photography was that out of curiosity - for the idea of inspiring others to recreate the work as he had and the impact of Editorial and Commercial Photography. He would study the light, composition, copy, graphics, and the layout - seeing all of the processes that went into place that formulated the end result.
After sharing a family camera (Pentax K1000, of course), he was offered a Nikon N6006 in exchange to help build a shed. The shed was built, and Sean's foundation was set.
Sean is available for short term projects as well as long term contract work. Please contact with any questions you may have!
